Hello, my name is Maeve ter hofstede, and I am studying to become a game and narrative designer.

I am doing this because ever since I was a kid I have always loved stories, spending my time reading or listening to audio books or making my own.

That love has continued well into adulthood, where I still frequently read books, but along the way I fell in love with a new way of telling stories, Video games.

Every since I found out about video games I loved the way they allowed you to tell stories with the player being an active part of the story and not just watching it from 

Another part of video games I fell in love with is the characters, being able to portray all kinds of people in all kinds of ways. 

Which is very important to me as a queer woman myself, inclusivity is very important to me because it has helped me a lot in getting comfortable with myself.

I aspire to one day create world like the ones that make me fall in love with games and characters that can help other people feel more comfortable being themselves.
